Si-Ware MEMS Spectrometer wins 1st place, of "25th of January Innovation Award 2011. The MEMS Spectrometer won the first place among 69 competing companies with highly innovative products. Those products today are highly successful both on the regional as well as Global scale.

 

The contest is organized by TIEC (Technology Innovation& Entrepreneurship Center) under the Egyptian ministry of ICT. The award targets the recognition of Egyptian innovations developed by local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as large enterprises working in the ICT sector.

 

Award criteria is applicable to innovations that go beyond marginal improvements in existing products and services, and have a considerable added value to their target customers, as well as have a social or economic impact. The competing companies went through several stages of screening by judges from industry experts to investors over the past 7 months. The award ceremony took place on Tuesday the 20th of December 2011, at the smart village, near Cairo, where the awards were announced by TIEC and delivered to Si-Ware Spectrometer team by the Egyptian minister of ICT.
