Si-Ware’s NeoSpectra Platform Wins Product Showdown Award at the 2022 MEMS and Sensors Executive Congress

MENLO PARK, CA (October 24, 2022) –Si-Ware, the creator of NeoSpectra material analysis solutions FT-NIR spectrometers, received the 2022 Product Showdown Award from SEMI, a global non-profit company that supports the entire semiconductor supply chain. The award was presented Wednesday, October 12^th,2022, at the MEMS and Sensors Executive Congress in San Diego, California.

SEMI is a global non-profit company that supports the entire semiconductor supply chain.  With over 2500 member companies in seven regions of the world, SEMI promotes the semiconductor industry through events, education, promotional opportunities, blogs, and industry problem-solving, along with writing and publishing over 1000 industry standards. SEMI’s MEMS and Sensors Industry Group (MSIG) focuses on the MEMS and Sensors supply chain and currently has over 180 member companies around the world.  MSIG has two main events, the MEMS and Sensors Technical Congress (MSTC), and the MEMS and Sensors Executive Congress (MSEC). 

Each year at the MSEC, companies are invited to compete for the Product Showdown award. This year, the criterion was Sensing as a Service, and 5 companies gave presentations and then live technical demonstrations, followed by the audience voting. Bassam Saadany, co-founder and CTO of Si-Ware Systems gave the presentation and then demonstrated the NeoSpectra platform for on-site analysis of food, feed, and agricultural products. Si-Ware Systems won the award with almost 1/3 of the votes tallied, beating other MEMS products in environmental, health, and audio applications.
