Amr has 25 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal and RFIC design. He currently manages the ASIC Solutions divison. Amr joined Si-Ware in 2007, assuming the position of ASIC Solutions CTO. During that time, he directed and led various technical teams to create advanced IP and products in the inertial sensing and wireless domains.
Prior to joining SWS, Amr was with PMC-Sierra where he led a team designing a fully integrated dual-band Wi-MAX Transceiver. Before that, he worked as an RFIC Designer at Research In Motion (RIM) where he designed a tri-band EGSM chipset.
Amr received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with honors in electronics and communication engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, and his Ph.D. degree in RFIC design from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Amr is an assistant professor with the faculty of engineering at Cairo University. He holds 2 US patents and has several publications on RF circuits and systems.
